‘Unstoppable’ Movie Review
Fox released their new drama, action movie titled “Unstoppable” into theaters about 2 months ago. I just checked it out,and must say that it was an absolutely great movie.
I enjoyed every moment of this fast chase, thrilling movie until the very end. It featured tons of “edge of your seat” excitement, along with intense drama and action. It stars: Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, Rosario Dawson, and Kevin Chapman.
The movie is based on true events and revolved around character Frank who’s a veteran train engineer and a young conductor named Will . The two of them start off on a bumpy path, relationship wise, because Frank is a little upset that they’re giving good jobs to the new younger guys with less actual experience. However, they manage to get along good enough to get the train moving on course.
In another area,a very immature train driver named Dewey decides to hop off his train while it’s still moving so he can pull a switch. Needless to say, the train gets away from him with the air breaks detached and the controls are set to full throttle. Character Connie, who is the railroad controller,is made aware of the situation and tries to set some stops in place.
The train eventually picks up too much speed for any stop to work. Corporate ignores the advice from Connie to derail the train before it gets to the crowded town areas. They send in people to try and slow it down from the front, but that fails horribly, and the train continues to head for a major disaster.
Will and Frank end up deciding to go after the unmanned train on their own. They try to stop it from the back with a single car train. However, after a huge effort to attach themselves to the train, they realize that it has way too much power for them to stop it.
Frank and Will ended up climbing over train cars. Then they pulled the breaks on each car, individually. Finally, they made their way to front to stop the train that was full of very flammable explosives while being covered by many TV news stations. I really liked this film.
It was very simple and to the point. A dangerous unmanned train was on the loose, they needed to stop it. They did it in a very high intense, dramatic fashion that left me saying, “Wow, that was awesome.” I gave this movie a definite A+.
