Trying to comprise a list of the greatest Quentin Tarantino films is no easy task. It seems that every movie the man comes out with becomes a cult classic. There is no doubt that few directors have the cult following that Tarantino does. He is just that good.

When it comes to choosing Quentin Tarantino’s best movies, it is not such an easy task as they are all great. Here are my top five favorites.

Reservoir Dogs ranks in as the number 63 film of all time according to the Internet Movie Database, and with good reason. This was one of Tarantino’s first films, but still remains one of his best.

Another incredible film by Quentin Tarantino was Kill Bill: Volume 1. Many people get into heated debate about which film from this duo is better, volume 1 or volume 2? For me, Volume 1 set the precedent and is the better of the two movies.

One movie that absolutely has to be on any list of Tarantino films is Pulp Fiction. This is considered one of the best films of all time by many, and it comes as no surprise to those that have seen it that it ranks amongst the top 15 films of all time according to imdb.com.

True Romance is the one film on this list that Tarantino did not direct, but you would never know it. Tarantino sold this script to the Hollywood studios for a reported $20,000, clearly before he was big time. This is as star studded as casts get: Patricia Arquette, Christian Slater, Christopher Walken, Brad Pitt, Michael Rappaport, Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, Samuel L. Jackson and many others.

Inglorious Basterds may have dethroned Pulp Fiction as my favorite Tarantino film of all. This movie is clearly a work of fiction, but it is a depiction of World War 2 as only Quentin Tarantino could envision it. The opening scene of dialogue between Christoph Waltz and Denis Menochet is brilliant.

These are just some of my favorite movies of Quentin Tarantino, however in my opinion all his movies are great and worth seeing.
