How it all Started for Justin Bieber

A platinum album in less than two months of release, seven songs from a debut album hitting the top pop 100, awards and nominations, live performances and world tours, this is now the life of a sixteen-year old Canadian pop and R&B singer, Justin Bieber. After his video was discovered on the YouTube by a former marketing executive, Scooter Braun, Justin Bieber’s success has taken the music scene by storm.

Some folks in the music industry compare him to Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson with his great moves, good looks and soulful songs. Justin comes from Ontario, Canada where some of his friends never realized he could even sing. He began singing around the house for his own entertainment and one day, at 12 years of age, he entered a singing competition just for fun. Surprisingly enough he came in second place and that was the beginning of his bright future in the music world.

His mother Pattie had taken some videos of him performing at amateur contests and like any proud mom might do, posted them to YouTube for her friends and family to view. While these started to gain some views from outside of their circle of acquaintances they were literally stumbled on by a man who would change Justin Bieber’s life forever.

On July 2009, while still recording his debut album, Bieber’s single, “One Time” was released in the radio. After merely a week, the song charted within the top 30 in over ten countries and was a certified Platinum in Canada and the US, and Gold in Australia and New Zealand. Before fall ends, on November 17, 2009, his debut album My World was released. Three consecutive singles from the album, “One Less Lonely Girl”, “Love Me”, and “Favorite Girl”, were released exclusively on the iTunes store with the first debuting on radio, too.

Since then Justin has done several concerts worldwide, appearing on international stages and climbed the popularity charts thanks to young girls from six to sixteen. It is hard to say which is the biggest draw to this young man – his looks or his music, or perhaps the magic is the combination of the two. He is definitely on the road to success and his Justin Bieber doll collection will be a winner with his fans as well.

He performed in front of U.S. president Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama for the Christmas celebration at the White House. This performance included songs of Stevie Wonder’s “Someday at Christmas”, which was broadcast on TNT on December 2009. 52nd Grammy Awards featured Justin as a presenter too. For the benefit of Haiti earthquake, he lent his vocals for the remake of “We Are The World”. This performance was later released with the name of “Young Artists for Haiti”. And with so many product launches like the Justin Bieber doll, nail polish and fragrance, he sure is making his future financially secure.
