Every line in the tablature has assigned notes. The first represent E in high pitch, the second I B followed by G, D, A and another E that is in low pitch. Put after the notes will be numbers symbolizing frets where you are going to put your fingers. Aside from this, you can also see symbolic figures' 0 and an X. 0 means that no finger should be put on that strings but should be included on strumming while the latter means that the string should neither be placed with a finger or be strummed.

Guitar tabs, though simple and easy, has also a weakness, It does not provide teachings on the right timing in playing the guitar.
